“Sdronksoepe for Gonda”
Primarily distilled by
the reclusive Enkelyntjes*,
Sdronksoepe is a transparent milky substance that serves as both a heavy liquor and a disinfectant.
THE AUTHENTIC RECIPES are closely guarded but many bootleg versions can be found, both in places of ill repute and respected apothecaries. Sweet & salty as they may be, these home brews can never truly replicate the titillating sensation that a real nip of Sdronksoepe delivers. They do, however, guarantee a really bad hangover.
ESPECIALLY POPULAR during the Zwelweek† festivities, most deliveries of the original Sdronksoepe shipments happen around the first snowfall.
DEPICTED HERE is an elderly Enkelyntje accompanied by a serf and a Moestiek‡ (also known as a Wegwyzerke). The trio is en route to a nearby city, Gonda#, to deliver the latest batch of Sdronksoepe. The garlic-sausage is meant to ward of any Kampkiekens° they might encounter along the road.
Notes
Enkelyntjes — Members of a celibate sisterhood that manages its own society, separate from the world. Sisters are free to leave and rejoin up to 3 times.
Zwelweek — Bloatweek, a time of year where several holidays converge into a succession of celebrations, mostly an excuse to have a last good bit of fun before actual winter sets in.
Moestiek — A breed of Flies who love to buzz around the country side to see what’s to be seen and hear what’s to be heard.
Wegwyzerke — little guide, little pilot.
Gonda — A city-state famous for both its happy-go-lucky attitude and quarrelsome behavior towards its neighbors.
Kampkiekens — Hot-tempered flightless birds with an appetite for apples, yeast and rye.
p.s. the garlic sausage is 99% garlic mush, 1% pig intestine. The tiny skull is, of course, from a tiny stag.
