FROM ITS FIST, Plikke squeezed peat for Droomme* to create many living things: with fur and claw, sound and smell, and wing and beak, and many more wondrous traits.
But Alffedroomt* was jealous. Even though it was the first to make creatures, they were all blind and scaly… Mean-tempered monsters who fought and ate eachother, with hearts every bit as cold as the black seas in which they swam.
